Optimum readability, day and night

Best possible readability in every situation – that was the goal during development of the ARGOS LUMEN model.

This goal is achieved thanks to the watch's clear and high-contrast display, which is divided into two sections: an inner hour ring with 12 numbers, and the outer minute and second scale with its 60 markings.

Thanks to their different colouring and heights, it is clear which hand relates to which scale.

In addition, a globally patented illumination principle ensures optimum readability even in darkness. The entire watch face is coated with brilliant white and highly luminescent Superluminova, making the whole dial light up in the dark.

A technical refinement additionally generates a shining aura around the hands: the rear sides of the hour and minute hands are likewise coated with Superluminova. In bright light, the rear parts of the hands are charged with light reflected off the dial, so that they can then actively light up the dial in the dark.

This additional light considerably improves the contrast of the hands, setting them off against the illuminated dial. Even after hours of complete darkness, this system of dual illumination guarantees optimum readability.
