In addition, a globally patented illumination principle ensures optimum readability even in darkness: the entire watch face is coated with brilliant white Superluminova, making the whole dial light up in the dark. A technical refinement additionally generates a shining aura around the hands. Even after hours of complete darkness, this system of dual illumination guarantees optimum readability at all times – and without even using any energy.
