The UNO 24, the 24-hour one-hand original is now available as a top version with a refined ETA 2893-2 elaboré automatic movement. The convincingly logical one-hand 24-hour principle with mechanical movement, masterly packed in the new Tri-Titanium case. With its sun-synchronous dial, the UNO 24 Automatic precisely reproduces the sun-earth kinematics of one day. An unusual concept for people with a passion for the extraordinary.

Sun-synchronous time display

A day has 24 hours, not 12. Following this simple and convincing logic, the UNO 24 Automatic shows the entire day at a glance. Just like a day on earth, the dial of the UNO 24 is divided into a light day half and a dark night half. The hour hand moves analogously to the sun on the firmament: in the morning it moves from the dark half of the night into the light half of the day, at noon it is at the zenith of the dial, in the evening it sinks back into the dark half of the night and crosses the fine date line at midnight. The date shows the new day. This "sun-synchronous" form of time display also ensures that the time is displayed unambiguously.

The new form of time display - with astronomical logic

Behind the extraordinary time display of the UNO 24 lies a logic that is as simple as it is convincing. An earth day has 24 hours - just like the UNO 24 Automatic. Just as a day is divided into a day and a night half, the dial of our all-day watch is also divided into a light and a dark half. The movement of the hour hand corresponds exactly to the movement of the sun: in the morning it is on the horizon, at noon it is at the top, in the evening it is on the horizon again and at night it is at the bottom. When passing the fine date line at midnight, the date display also changes and the new day begins. We at BOTTA call this type of natural time display "sun-synchronous". The three-dimensional dial of the UNO 24 immediately catches the eye with its fine details. The quadrants at 0 - 6 - 12 and 18 o'clock in contrasting colours simplify spontaneous orientation. The elaborate solo hour hand, paired with the precise 24-hour scale and the 10-minute markers, ensures that the time is surprisingly easy to read. Not ordinary but consistently logical.

Advanced design in the new Tri-Titanium case

An unusual watch concept deserves an unusual case. Our new Tri-Titanium case puts this claim in a convincing light. It is made of three special titanium alloys that are usually used in high-tech industry and medicine. Each of the three zones has a specific composition which, when combined, ensure optimum wearing properties and make the watch absolutely allergy-free. The new fully screwed Tri-Titanium case from BOTTA combines a sophisticated case architecture with excellent technical features. Designed in Germany - Handmade in Germany.
