Based on these data sets, we coordinate the technical feasibility step by step with the individual component producers. From the resulting designs, we derive design and preliminary models that can be used to check both the technical and ergonomic quality. This is followed by an internal development phase lasting several months with several development loops consisting of a sequence of prototyping, visual tests and functional tests.
We produce the design models, functional models and preliminary models ourselves in our development office in Königstein near Frankfurt.

Prototype construction and test phase
As soon as a watch model has passed all the individual visual tests, we have prototype parts (custom-made parts that are identical in function and appearance to the later watch model) manufactured.
With these prototype parts, our master watchmakers build fully functional watches that we can then test as a system in practice for the first time.
Only when we have a result that is completely convincing both technically and in terms of design do we start the production of the series components..

All components such as cases, movements, dials, hands and small parts are delivered to us by the parts manufacturers, checked and then assembled by our watchmakers into complete series watches. This is followed by routines of testing and adjustment work, during which not only the perfect running is guaranteed, but also important values such as rate deviation and functionality of all components are optimised once again individually. A lot of manual work and experience is used here, a guarantee for high product quality and ultimately the reliability of the final product..
After production, each individual clock is once again subjected to a comprehensive complete check by the assembler.

The initial inspection at the watchmaker is followed by the incoming inspection at BOTTA in Königstein. Here, each individual watch is once again checked for visual quality and subjected to a rate test lasting several days. We explicitly check the rate deviation, the amplitude of the balance and the current magnetic status of each watch again (for automatic watches) by means of electronic measurements. We determine the effective power reserve with an endurance test lasting several days. The measurement results are recorded in a test report.

Service and repairs
The same watchmakers who are active in prototype construction and production also carry out any repairs and revisions of our wristwatches that may become necessary at a later date. In this way, we ensure that every customer's watch is serviced by a specialist who knows every component of the watch in detail and, as a rule, has even assembled and tuned the watch himself.
In this way, we guarantee personal and competent care for all our watches throughout their entire life cycle. With this approach, we not only ensure a high technical and visual standard of our watches, but also their longevity and serviceability.
