The UNO 24 F.A.Z. Edition combines the precision craftsmanship of aluminium with the authentic texture of natural stone. More than 50 individual production steps create an object of rare depth and presence – with laser-cut markings in the stone, milled numerals in the metal and a movement from the Black Forest. Entirely made in Germany, hand-assembled and meticulously finished. A design object with character and lasting value – for spaces that make a statement.

Mica schist is a naturally formed metamorphic rock that developed over long geological periods under high pressure and temperature. It is characterised by its high content of mica minerals. Their fine crystals reflect light differently depending on the viewing angle, giving the stone its shimmering lustre and distinctive visual depth.

In the UNO 24 F.A.Z. Edition, this natural structure, formed over millions of years, meets precisely machined aluminium. The mica schist forms the night-time half of the 24-hour display, bringing material, function and design together as one.

The UNO 24 F.A.Z. Edition was created in collaboration with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and is available exclusively through F.A.Z. Selection and directly from BOTTA.

Klaus Botta is regarded as a philosopher of time and the inventor of the modern one-hand watch. He developed this principle as early as 1986, reflecting a more conscious and relaxed approach to time.
