Time is the most valuable asset we possess. How quickly it passes became painfully clear to me after a death in the family. Especially as the father of two almost grown-up sons (Tjard, 18, and Thore, 19), I feel it every day: life is racing by.
The three of us share a special relationship shaped by deep openness and honesty. It has always been important to me not only to pass on my life experience to them, but also to raise them to become strong, empathetic people who appreciate the value of our short time on Earth. For the exciting journey through life that lies ahead of my boys, I wanted to give them a lasting anchor.
Our choice fell on the BOTTA UNO 24 Automatic – individually configured by each of the three of us.
Why this particular watch? Because the UNO 24 perfectly embodies the philosophy of time. Without the hectic pace of a jumping seconds or minutes hand, it shows the day as a whole, harmoniously divided into day and night. In the years to come, we will use these watches to fill them with unforgettable shared moments. Thanks to the durable mechanics of the automatic movement, we may well be creating a new family tradition that can be passed on to the next generation.
Since I have been wearing the watch on my own wrist, my personal sense of time has completely changed. I enjoy the precision, the fine mechanics, and the incredible calm that this design radiates.
A very special thank-you also goes to Mr. and Mrs. Botta. Their personal support and advice rounded off this already emotional project perfectly.
